What originally started as Kidder Nursery back in 1919 is now the Bloomington Garden Center, a family owned and operated business in Bloomington, MN. For over 100 years, the Bloomington Garden Center has been a source of plants, flowers, and landscaping for this community and is currently the oldest business in the City of Bloomington.
The Bloomington Garden Center opens every spring with hundreds of new plants and flowers and provides landscape services throughout the summer. Follow our social media pages for all of the behind the scenes action as we prepare for another great season of planting.
Meet The Pedersons
The Bloomington Garden Center is owned and operated by the Pederson Family: Barb, Eric, Brad, Bev, Sam and Alex. This multi-generation family owned business has been in the Pederson Family since 1959.

Purchased by Brad and Bev Pederson in 1959
Kidder Nursery became the Bloomington Garden Center in 1986
Eric and Barb Pederson took official positions within the business and moved onto the nursery property in 1995
